Colorlight X6 LED Video Controller: Overview
The Colorlight X6 combines LED display control and video processing for large-screen installations. It accepts HDMI, DVI and SDI sources, provides flexible source switching and scaling, and sends the processed image to Colorlight receiving cards through eight Gigabit Ethernet outputs. Its three-layer layout helps operators place and resize multiple pictures on one LED canvas.
Key Features
- Multiple inputs: 1 × HDMI, 2 × DVI and 1 × SDI for common digital video sources. The listed maximum input resolution is 1920 × 1200 at 60 Hz.
- LED output: 8 × Gigabit Ethernet ports and a listed loading capacity of up to 3.9 million pixels. The listed maximum width is 8192 pixels and maximum height is 4096 pixels; the total pixel limit still applies.
- Three-layer display: arrange and scale up to three picture layers for flexible LED screen layouts.
- Video processing: switch sources, adjust brightness and color settings, and use 3G-SDI video deinterlacing where applicable.
- Configuration and cascading: USB input connects to a computer, while USB output supports cascading control of multiple processors.

Choosing and Connecting the X6
Use the X6 when the LED screen requires several HD video sources, multi-picture layouts and direct Ethernet output to Colorlight receiving cards. Plan the cabinet mapping against both the 3.9-million-pixel total and the width and height limits. A 1920 × 1200 input specification does not mean the controller can drive an LED canvas of that exact shape only; input resolution and LED output loading are separate limits.
Before ordering, confirm the hardware revision, receiving-card compatibility, required audio accessories and actual screen dimensions with our team. See Colorlight’s X6 documentation for manufacturer files, or contact us for help matching the controller to your LED display.
