RD-125A dual output power supply
The Mean Well RD-125A supplies a 5V rail and a 12V rail from one enclosed unit. It is intended for equipment that needs both voltages. Size each channel and the combined load separately; the total output rating applies to both channels together.
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Channel 1 | 5V DC; rated current 7.7A |
| Channel 2 | 12V DC; rated current 7.7A |
| Combined rated power | 130.9W |
| Channel current ranges | CH1: 0–12A; CH2: 0–10A; total power limit applies |
| AC input | 88–132VAC / 176–264VAC, selected by switch |
| Input frequency | 47–63Hz |
| Typical efficiency | 82% |
| Dimensions (L × W × H) | 199 × 98 × 38mm |
| Cooling | Free air convection |
The original RD-125 specification below gives channel loading, regulation and temperature derating conditions. It recommends CH1 load above 15% of rated current to meet the stated voltage tolerance.
Check both voltage rails before ordering
Identify which connected devices need 5V and which need 12V. Compare the wiring and mounting arrangement with the existing supply. The input selection switch must match the AC source before the unit is energized.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does RD-125A have one output or two?
It has two outputs: CH1 at 5V and CH2 at 12V.
Can both channels run at their maximum current-range values together?
The total output must remain within 130.9W. The channel current ranges do not authorize exceeding the combined power rating.
Is the AC input automatically universal?
No. The specification lists two AC ranges selected by a switch: 88–132VAC and 176–264VAC.
Is RD-125A the same as RD-125B?
No. The A model has 5V and 12V outputs; the B model has 5V and 24V outputs. Check the full suffix.
Where can I check the terminal assignments?
The linked PDF includes the mechanical drawing and terminal table for AC input, earth, common and both DC outputs.
