Novastar MX20 LED video control server combines video processing and LED display control in one professional unit. It supports HDMI 1.3 and 3G-SDI sources, six Gigabit Ethernet outputs, dual 10G optical ports and the NovaStar VMP visual management platform. With a maximum load of 3.9 million pixels, MX20 is designed for reliable control of complex LED display systems.
Novastar MX20 specifications at a glance
- Video inputs: 2 x HDMI 1.3 with loop output and 1 x 3G-SDI with loop output.
- Input depth: Supports 8-bit and 10-bit video sources.
- LED outputs: 6 x Gigabit Ethernet ports, maximum load 3.9 million pixels.
- Optical and audio: 2 x 10G optical ports and 1 x SPDIF digital audio interface.
- Control and sync: 1 x Genlock input with loop output, 2 x Ethernet control ports and 1 x AUX interface.
Advanced LED display control features
- Three independent layers: Add up to three layers and set their Z-order priority.
- Flexible screen scaling: Choose custom, point-to-point or screen-fit zoom modes for different canvas layouts.
- 12-channel color calibration: Fine-tune hue, saturation and brightness for consistent LED color.
- Full grayscale correction: Nova Nebula high-precision correction and C3200 scientific-grade processing improve grayscale uniformity.
- Low-latency operation: Independent master mode can deliver less than 1 ms controller-side delay; video controller mode uses one frame of controller-side delay. An additional 0-2 frames can be configured when required.
- Irregular screen support: Build special-shaped LED screens without a rectangular-frame restriction. Load is calculated from the total pixels of all cabinets.
- Frame-rate adaptation: Accept decimal frame rates, define a custom rate and adjust in 0.01 Hz steps.
- Two working modes: Use independent master control for reduced delay or video controller mode for multi-layer and scaling functions.
- System monitoring: Monitor equipment and display status with automatic fault and warning reporting.
Who should use MX20?
MX20 is a practical choice for LED display integrators, rental and staging teams, broadcast-style video walls, control rooms and fixed-installation projects that need multiple source types, long-distance optical transport or special-shaped screen layouts. The combination of VMP management, precise color control and flexible output mapping helps technicians commission and maintain demanding LED displays.
