What Is the NovaStar MX2000 Pro?
The NovaStar MX2000 Pro is a modular two-in-one LED video controller and control server designed for demanding LED display systems. It combines high-resolution video input, output management, real-time monitoring and screen configuration in one platform for event rental, xR/VP studios, exhibition halls and complex multi-screen installations.
Its card-based architecture lets system designers select the input and output configuration that fits the project. The controller supports true 12-bit video input, frame rates up to 360 Hz, synchronized output splicing and flexible mapping for regular or irregular LED screens.

Modular 4K and 8K Video Inputs
The MX2000 Pro has two input-card slots. Choose the supported input card according to the required sources and resolution:
- 4K HDMI workflow: the MX_4xHDMI 2.0 input card provides four HDMI 2.0 inputs.
- 8K DisplayPort workflow: the 8K input card provides two DP 1.4 inputs.
- High bit depth: true 12-bit input is supported, together with 10-bit and 8-bit sources, for smoother tonal transitions and accurate content reproduction.
- Live visibility: operators can preview input sources and monitor the LED screen display status in real time.
Output and Fiber Transmission
Two output-card slots support project-specific output design. With the MX_4x10G_Fiber output card and a NovaStar CVT10 fiber converter, the system supports 1G transmission and can load up to 650,000 pixels through a single Ethernet cable.
Frame rates up to 360 Hz help meet the needs of fast-motion content and professional production environments. The actual maximum frame rate depends on the connected LED screen hardware.
Screen Management Features
Card-Based Screen Configuration
LED screens can be configured by output card, making it easier to organize multi-screen projects and adapt the controller to different output layouts.
Synchronized Output Splicing
Frame synchronization keeps output images on the same screen aligned. This helps deliver smooth playback and reduces visible stutter, frame loss, image tearing and splice lines.
Irregular-Screen Mapping
The MX2000 Pro does not require an irregular LED screen to fit a rectangle. Blank pixels are excluded when resolution is calculated, so the used Ethernet-port load is based on the combined resolution of the actual cabinets.
128 One-Click Presets
Save up to 128 presets for layers, brightness, color temperature, gamma and other display parameters. Operators can prepare looks in advance and switch configurations quickly for different scenes or events.
Where Is the MX2000 Pro Used?
- Live events and rental staging: flexible card selection, presets and high-frame-rate output support changing production requirements.
- xR and virtual production studios: synchronized output and real-time monitoring help operators manage critical LED display workflows.
- Exhibition halls and showrooms: multi-screen management makes repeatable operation easier across permanent installations.
- Irregular and multi-screen LED systems: non-rectangular mapping uses available output capacity efficiently.
Standard Configuration and Ordering
