Modular Inputs and Outputs

The MX6000 Pro chassis provides eight input card slots and eight output card slots. Available input card choices support both standard baseband video and video-over-IP workflows:

  • 4K input cards: 4 x HDMI 2.0, 4 x DP 1.2 or 4 x 12G-SDI
  • 8K input cards: 2 x HDMI 2.1 or 2 x DP 1.4
  • Video-over-IP cards: SMPTE ST 2110 (25G) or NDI

Supported input color depths include 8-bit, 10-bit and true 12-bit. This makes the controller suitable for demanding content where smooth gradients, accurate color and low-latency processing matter.

1G and 5G COEX Fiber Solutions

  • 1G solution: Pair the MX_4x10G_Fiber output card with a NovaStar CVT10 fiber converter and compatible Armor series receiving cards. A single Ethernet cable can load up to 650,000 pixels under the stated reference conditions.
  • 5G solution: Pair the CX_1x40G_Fiber output card with a CVT8-5G fiber converter and compatible 5G receiving cards. A single Ethernet cable can load up to 2,600,000 pixels under the stated reference conditions.

Different output card types may be installed in the same controller, but 1G and 5G outputs cannot be combined to load the same LED screen. Final load capacity depends on bit depth, frame rate, receiving card, screen mapping and installed output cards.
