What is the NovaStar VX1000?
The NovaStar VX1000 integrates an LED display controller, video processor and fiber-conversion functions in one chassis. It receives common video sources, scales the image to the LED canvas and sends the processed signal to receiving cards over Ethernet or optical fiber. This reduces the number of separate devices needed in a stage or fixed-installation control rack.
The controller is designed for medium and high-end rental displays, stage systems, conference and control-room walls, and fine-pitch LED screens. Stepless scaling, low-latency operation, 3D support, pixel-level brightness calibration and chroma calibration help installers maintain consistent image quality across large or unusually shaped displays.

Performance and control features
Low-latency LED processing
When Low Latency and Bypass mode are enabled together, the delay from the input to the receiving card can be reduced to 20 lines. This is useful for live camera feeds, stage IMAG and other applications where visible delay matters.
Flexible layer and canvas control
The VX1000 supports three layers. Each layer can be resized and repositioned, and layer priority can be adjusted. Its wide and tall canvas limits make it suitable for panoramic banners, columns and other non-standard LED display formats.
Fiber transmission and backup
The optical ports support long-distance signal transmission and practical backup workflows. OPT 1 adapts to its connected device and can operate as either an input or a sending-card output. OPT 2 can copy or back up the Ethernet output signal.
Audio, calibration and software workflow
Audio can enter with the HDMI source and be output through a compatible multifunction card, with manual volume control. NovaLCT and V-Can support screen configuration, Ethernet-port backup settings, layer and preset management, calibration workflows and firmware updates.
Who is the VX1000 best for?
- Rental and live-event teams that need processing and LED sending in one rack unit
- Stage and broadcast operators that need low latency, multiple inputs and monitoring output
- Fine-pitch LED installers working with large pixel counts or unusual aspect ratios
- Fixed-installation integrators that require fiber transmission or Ethernet-port backup
What to check before ordering
Confirm the total LED pixel count, final cabinet layout, required input formats, fiber distance and receiving-card compatibility. The total screen load must remain within 6.5 million pixels, and the configured width and height must stay within the stated maximum limits.
